Jan Rodriguez Parkitna

Jan Rodriguez Parkitna is the head of the Department of Molecular Neuropharmacology at Maj Institute of Pharmacology PAS in Krakow. His research focuses on two areas: the reward system of the brain and the molecular mechanisms of drug action. His recent projects explore how opioid-dependent changes in the rewarding effects of social contact and explore sex-dependent differences in prosocial behaviors. He is also involved in projects assessing spatial patterns of gene expression induced by psychotropic drugs.
